2020 CINEMA BALLROOM PRODUCTION
Working through the challenges of the pandemic, Michelle (a co-owner of Cinema Ballroom) developed a plan to film their yearly stage production. Each dance number was filmed multiple times to capture different angles and give the students a chance to improve on any mistakes they might make in a given take. The theme was Broadway musicals and each number was given its own title sequence.

In post-production we synced the multiple takes together, picked the best moments, and created a cinematic flow to each number. While a live theatrical performance provides a unique energy, our filming process allowed the dancers to feel like their numbers captured some of that Hollywood movie magic.

It was a unique experience for all the dancers and culminated in a private showing at an iconic Minneapolis movie theater, the Riverview Theater.
